What does this site do?
This site helps users to create ratings on any categories and topics they are interested in.
How does the registration process work?
Please click here to register. AllMyrebates.com and ABCRatings.com share user authentication information.
Category management terms:
- A user must register to be a member. Unregistered user can only browse the ratings and can't enter ratings.
- A registered member can request to add a new rating category (go here). Other members may rate on whether the category should be adopted (a member can get in line to be a category's future manager by rating it). Once a category is selected by ABCRatings, the user who first rated the category becomes the manager of the category (1 year term, renewable depending on traffic performance. The term limit is due to the concern that some managers may do nothing after occupying a popular category). Within the term, the manager can place his/her Google Adsense Ads in the pages of this category. The ad locations in the pages are determined by ABCRatings. Earnings from the ads entirely belong to the manager. If the traffic is too low for a category (fewer than 10 ratings in 3 months), the manager may be "fired" and the person who rated this category next is eligible to become the new manager of the category and the same process continues.
- Manager's main responsibility: 1.) drive traffic to your site. 2.) clean up rating targets (we will provide tools to help with that). 3.) be the moderator of the site.
- Any manager can choose to quit to be a manager of a category. A manager can change managed categories (ever heard of changing jobs?). A member can only manage up to two categories at one time.
- To display a manager's Google Adsense ads, the member must apply for an Adsense account (free!) and provide ABCRatings with the Adsense ad_client and ad_channel numbers (login here to set up your ads).
- Please help your fellow managers in terms of creating ratings and bringing more traffic. We are in this together. When a fellow manager is successful in developing a category (more traffic), your category will get more attention too because users will come to ABCRatings.com and your category will be exposed to them. If you have the knowledge of other manager's categories, we highly recommend you to rate in their categories. If every manager only thinks of his/her category, we are likely to fail together. Remember: help others = help you.
- This is not a get-rich-quick scheme. No one should expect that by participating. But it has the potential to get sizable earnings in the future, and it is fun and risk free! Creating traffic is a hard job. Other than spending some of your browsing time to promote your rating categories, there should be no cost to you.
- ABCRatings reserves the rights not to accept a category if it is deemed inappropriate for the site.
- The managers are responsible to report income taxes to the IRS on the earnings generated from his/her Adsense account.
- Important: please DON'T click on your own ads. Doing so may cause your Adsense account being suspended or closed by Google.
- The terms are subject to change. Please visit this page for the latest details.
How to request a new category
Go here to create a new category. Please add the following information in your rating comment box.
For example: you want to create a rating category for network router products.
Category name: Network Routers
Topics:
1. Connectivity (how reliable is the router in terms of connenctivity)
2. Quality (Is the router easily broken)
3. Price (Is it a good deal)
Targets:
Use router model numbers to identity what you are rating on.
e.g. Netgear WGR614 v5
The rating targets can be added by the manager or other members.
Check out the sample rating site for rebate companies.
